Job Summary
The IT Project Staff's priorities are project implementation and evaluation of the company-wide management information system. Also responsible for the operating system and associated subsystems. Provides system-level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of these systems. Identifies alternatives for optimizing computer resources.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
IT Project Support
- Implements activities related to IT Projects.
- Gathers requirements and performs business and process analysis, including learning to perform the activities of end users.
- Creates Problem Statements, gathers evidence and proof for verification.
- Creates Action Plans to address the Problem Statement.
- Performs the activities to create the deliverables for IT Projects.
- Reports on progress and implements controls and corrections to achieve desired results.
- Identifies risks, problems, and areas for improvement.
- Trained in making cost-benefit analysis and risk management; able to present recommendations and justifications to stakeholders.
Hardware Support
- Responsible for hardware configuration of computers.
- Updates systems by improving components, layout, and design of a computer for increased efficiency.
- Expected to increase the speed and function of the computer.
Diagnose and Troubleshoot
- Helps clients (internal and external) identify problems and resolve issues.
- Includes resolving network issues, configuring operating systems, and using remote desktop connections to provide immediate support.
Software Support, Repair, Maintenance, and Improvement
- Primarily addresses technical issues relating to software implementation, function, and upgrades.
Manage Cloud Infrastructure
- Admin of various company cloud systems (Google Workspace, Nextcloud, ERPNext).
- Adds users, activates services, and manages mobile applications.
Documentation and Manuals
- Requires intensive documentation for tracking, history checking, and troubleshooting.
- Writes technical reports related to issues and problems with solutions.
- Writes manuals or produces media; establishes monitoring policies, procedures, and processes.
- Prepares training material and generates evaluation reports regarding proposed business objectives.
Trainer
- Enhances competencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that boost employees' workplace performance in alliance with the company's core values and objectives.
Research
- Seeks information for various purposes using multiple data streams (internet, surveys, documents, published research).
Other
- Manages and trains On-the-Job Trainees.
- Other tasks that the IT Manager and IT Director may assign from time to time.
